Xia Gu Cao has the efficacy of clearing the liver, diarrhea, brightening the eyes, dispersing knots, and subduing swellings, and is mainly used for headache, vertigo, scrofula, gall tumors, and redness of the eyes, as well as for diseases such as nocturnal pain in the eyeballs.
Both of the above drugs can disperse knots and reduce swelling, and can treat thyroid nodules. It should be noted that the adverse reactions as well as contraindications of Xia Gu Cao are not known.
