The Chinese herbal formula of Turtle Ling Cream is turtle (with internal organs removed), raw rhizome of the earth, Poria cocos, Mian Yin Chen, honeysuckle, licorice, and flaxseed. The main effects are nourishing yin and moistening dryness (nourishing yin essence and removing heat), lowering fire and removing vexation, clearing heat and dampness, cooling blood and detoxifying. It is mainly used in treating sores on the mouth and tongue, ulceration and burning pain, dry mouth and throat, heat in the hands and feet, dizziness and tinnitus caused by deficiency fire; constipation with bad breath, short and yellow urine, redness of the face and heat in the body caused by dry heat in the stomach and intestines; lumbar and knee soreness and tenderness, frequent and turbid urine, abdominal distension caused by damp-heat subluxation (damp-heat evils invade the intestinal tract, bladder, yin, and the lower limbs, etc.). As well as dampness and toxicity caused by the accumulation of leucorrhoea amount of sticky, fishy odor, dizziness, afternoon fever, heartburn and insomnia.
