What’s going on with the lymph nodes in the armpits despite normal breast cancer?

If the breast cancer review is normal but there are lymph nodes in the axilla, it may be caused by reactive hyperplasia of lymph nodes, lymph node infection and metastasis of axillary lymph nodes. 1. Reactive hyperplasia of lymph nodes: Reactive hyperplasia of axillary lymph nodes caused by inflammation, usually with the subsiding of inflammation, lymph nodes can subside or shrink by themselves. 2. Lymph node infection: Lymph nodes infected by bacteria or viruses also lead to localized lymph node enlargement in the armpit. In this case, the lymph nodes in the armpit will increase in size and diameter, but there is no fusion between the lymph nodes. In this case, surgical removal may be necessary, followed by pathologic sectioning to determine the type of bacterial or viral infection. 3. Axillary lymph node metastasis: The most common is axillary lymph node metastasis. When a patient is examined for breast cancer, if no primary lesion is found, but an enlarged lymph node can be felt in the axilla, which is painless and firm, the metastatic lymph node may have fused with the axillary lymph node. In addition, diseases of the primary lymphatic system, such as lymphoma, should also be considered. If the patient’s breast cancer review is normal but there are lymph nodes in the armpit, he/she should go to the hospital for a detailed examination in time to exclude the cause of the disease, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
