What’s with the white dots at the corners of the mouth?

The appearance of white dots at the corners of the mouth may be a sign of whiteheads, which are related to the activity of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles in the area, especially if the patient’s endocrine disorders cause the local sebaceous glands to secrete a lot of sebum. If the sebum is not discharged smoothly from the surface of the skin, it may be stagnated inside the sebaceous gland ducts, and when the stagnated sebum accumulates, ester plugs may be formed. Sebaceous plugs are whiteheads, which are white dots, and can usually be eliminated by applying an antikeratinizing cream, such as topical adapalene gel.
