Can patchouli treat eczema?

Patchouli is mainly used in medicine to treat colds, gastrointestinal diseases, etc. From a professional medical point of view, it is not a drug specifically used for the treatment of eczema.
Eczema is a common skin disease with various causes, such as heredity, environmental factors, allergic reactions, etc. The clinical manifestations are redness, swelling, itching, oozing and erosion of the skin. Treatment of eczema usually requires the selection of an appropriate treatment program based on the cause and clinical symptoms, generally including avoidance of exposure to irritants, the use of topical corticosteroids, and the necessary anti-allergic drugs.
Although some of the ingredients in Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui may have the effect of soothing itching and anti-inflammatory, its therapeutic effect may not be ideal for eczema, which is a complex skin lesion, and it may even aggravate the redness, swelling and itching of the skin due to the presence of alcohol and other irritating ingredients. Therefore, patchouli is not recommended for the treatment of eczema.
If you suffer from eczema, it is recommended that you seek medical attention as soon as possible to be evaluated by a specialist and given a scientific treatment plan, and it is not recommended to use medications that are not directed by a doctor for treatment.
