Specialized Chinese medicine treatment for varicose veins of lower limbs

Varicose veins of the lower extremities refer to the elongated, winding and varicose state of the superficial venous system of the lower extremities, which mostly occurs in people who are permanently engaged in standing work or manual labor. Such as teachers, salesmen, hairdressers, workers, farmers and middle-aged and elderly people are prone to this disease. With this disease, patients feel heavy, swollen, numb, vague pain, easy fatigue in the lower limbs, often swollen in the back of the foot and inner and outer ankles, and veins in the lower limbs appear thick and prominent, such as earthworms. Clinical manifestations] The clinical manifestations caused by simple varicose veins of lower extremities are generally not serious, mainly manifesting as sinuous expansion and tortuosity of superficial veins of lower extremities, if the disease continues to progress to the later stages, especially when the valves of the traffic veins are destroyed, mild swelling and nutritional changes in the skin of the foot and boot area can occur, including skin atrophy, desquamation, itching, pigmentation, hard nodules of skin and subcutaneous tissue, and even eczema and ulcers formation. The treatment of simple varicose veins of lower limbs can be divided into three categories: 1, non-surgical treatment mainly includes wearing elastic stockings or using elastic bandages on the affected limbs to make the varicose veins atrophy, and the pressure of the elastic stockings should be high on the distal side and low on the proximal side to facilitate blood return; in addition, appropriate bed rest, elevation of the affected limbs and avoid standing for too long should be provided. 2.Sclerotherapy and compression therapy are suitable for simple lesions and can be used as an adjunct to surgery to deal with varicose veins that do not peel off. Commonly used sclerosing agents such as 5% sodium cod liver oil, phenol glycerol solution (2% phenol dissolved in 25%-30% glycerol solution), etc. 3.Surgical treatment is basically divided into three kinds: ① high ligation of saphenous or small saphenous vein; ② stripping of varicose saphenous or small saphenous vein; ③ ligation of incomplete traffic vein. For the residual varicose veins that cannot be removed, sclerotherapy and compression therapy can be used. The main purpose is to find the blood stasis points in both lower extremities and gently puncture them with a 12-gauge disposable needle to bleed, once every two weeks, six times a course. The mechanism is to release the high pressure state of lower limb veins through bloodletting, so that the lower limb venous reflux is gradually smooth, thus restoring the tortuous veins to normal. This method is easy to operate and has the characteristics of less pain, less money and faster swelling.
