Cervical smears are usually painless.
Cervical scraping is generally referred to as cervical scraping test, which is a cervical exfoliative cytology test and is one of the important tests for cervical cancer screening. Cervical smear examination is generally painless, as follows:
1. During cervical smear, a speculum is used to open the vagina and a cork spatula or brush is used to gently scrape cells from the surface of the cervix. Discomfort may occur during the procedure, but it usually does not cause pain.
2. As there are no pain nerves in the cervix, cervical smears are usually painless, but some people may experience symptoms such as slight pain if they are overly nervous.
If you experience any of the above problems and have other symptoms, it is recommended that you consult a doctor and actively cooperate with him/her.
