A week after abortion may show signs of brownish leucorrhoea, which is usually residual blood in the uterine cavity and can be followed up without abdominal pain, bloating or other discomfort. If there is recurrent vaginal bleeding, smelly vaginal discharge, abdominal pain or even a progressive increase in abdominal pain, the possibility of incomplete uterine regeneration or intrauterine infection cannot be ruled out and further consultation in hospital is required.
