Lung Cancer Brain Metastasis Nosebleed

Nosebleed due to brain metastasis of lung cancer may be caused by intranasal metastasis, abnormal coagulation function and dryness of nasal cavity.

1. Intranasal metastasis of cancer cells: if cancer cells metastasize in the nasal cavity, they will constantly cause stimulation to capillaries in the nasal cavity, leading to rupture of capillaries and inducing symptoms of nosebleed. Patients can observe whether the cancer cells have metastasized in the nasal cavity through nasopharyngeal magnetic resonance examination.

2. Abnormal coagulation function: constant invasion of cancer cells will negatively affect the health of blood system, resulting in thrombocytopenia and decreased coagulation function, which will lead to symptoms of nosebleed.

3. Nasal cavity dryness: if the patient is in a dry environment for a long time, it will lead to dryness and dehydration of nasal mucosa, increase the fragility of local capillaries, and easily induce symptoms of nosebleed.

It is suggested that patients with brain metastasis of lung cancer should pinch both sides of the nose to stop bleeding in time after bleeding and nosebleed symptoms, and at the same time, consult a doctor as soon as possible, improve the examination under the guidance of a professional doctor to clarify the cause of the disease, and actively cooperate with the treatment, so as to alleviate the pain and improve the quality of life.
