What are the symptoms of late stage ovarian cancer?

Ovarian malignant tumor is one of the common malignant tumors of female reproductive organs, but the mortality rate of ovarian epithelial cancer is the first among all kinds of gynecological tumors, which poses a serious threat to women’s lives. Ovarian malignant tumor grows rapidly and spreads easily. However, in the early stage, patients often have no symptoms or mild symptoms, and they are often discovered by chance during gynecological examination, or only when the tumor grows to a certain size beyond the pelvis and the abdomen can be laid on in time, or when complications appear, which are often in advanced stage by the time they seek medical attention. 1. Menstrual disorders and vaginal bleeding may occur. If both ovaries are destroyed by cancer tissue, it may cause menstrual disorders and amenorrhea; lung metastasis may cause coughing, coughing blood and pleural fluid; bone metastasis may cause severe local pain in the metastases. Intestinal metastasis may cause blood in stool, and serious intestinal obstruction. 2.In the early stage, there may be occasional discomfort in the lower abdomen or painful sensation in one side of the lower abdomen. 3.Sense of abdominal distension, abdominal swelling, abdominal mass and ascites may occur in a short period of time due to rapid growth of tumor. If the tumor is small, it can only be found during pelvic examination. When the lump gradually grows beyond the pelvic cavity, the lump can be touched in the abdomen. 4.Compression symptoms: When tumor infiltrates into surrounding tissues or compresses nerves, it may cause abdominal pain, lumbago or sciatica, if it compresses pelvic vein, swelling of lower limbs may occur; huge tumor may compress bladder, which may cause frequent urination, difficulty in urination and urinary retention; if it compresses rectum, it will have difficulty in stool; if it compresses gastrointestinal tract, it will have gastrointestinal symptoms; if it compresses diaphragm, it may have difficulty in breathing and cannot lie down. 5.The corresponding symptoms appear due to metastasis of cancer. Ovarian malignant tumor rarely causes pain, but if tumor rupture, bleeding or infection occurs or due to infiltration and compression of adjacent organs, it may cause abdominal pain and lumbago. Due to the rapid growth of tumor, malnutrition and emaciation will occur, forming malignant mass. 7.In addition, if it is functional tumor, it can produce corresponding symptoms of excessive estrogen or androgen. For example, it may cause early dysfunctional uterine bleeding, postmenopausal vaginal bleeding or masculinization signs. In advanced stages, patients show significant wasting, severe anemia and other cachectic phenomena. During gynecological examination, scattered hard nodules and masses may be palpated in the posterior vaginal fornix, mostly bilateral, substantial, uneven and immobile, often accompanied by bloody ascites. Sometimes enlarged lymph nodes can be palpated in the groin, axillae or supraclavicular region.
