Smooth muscle sarcoma is a tumor of malignant mesenchymal tissue of the intestinal wall, vascular smooth muscle of the intestinal wall, and mucosal muscle, mainly originating from the human intestinal wall, and can account for 5%-10% of human soft tissue tumors, mainly in the rectal area, accounting for 85% of colorectal smooth muscle sarcomas. Soft tissue smooth muscle sarcoma is more likely to occur in middle and old age, especially in the age group of 40-60 years old, and it may also occur in young people, but it is less common in children. Moreover, it is difficult to distinguish between benign and malignant smooth muscle tumors, mainly because of the histological morphology, which sometimes can also be incomplete with the biological behavior, and often morphologically benign or biologically malignant. Moreover, smooth muscle sarcoma spreads by bloodstream in addition to local infiltration to proximal organs and tissues, which is the predominant route of transmission.
