How to use aspirin correctly?

Aspirin is an antipyretic and analgesic drug invented more than 100 years ago, initially used in the treatment of headache and fever and other diseases, later it was found to have the effect of anti-platelet coagulation, and the addition of aspirin can prevent about 15-23% of myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction, so it is widely recommended. However, it can also cause 5% to 10% of gastrointestinal bleeding, therefore, it must be learned to use correctly. 1.Application target: All people suffering from hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, cerebral infarction, carotid atherosclerosis and other “three highs”, and those who are over 50 years old, are the target of aspirin application. 2. Dose and dosage form: The dosage for adults is 75~100 mg per day. Theoretically, it disintegrates through the esophagus and stomach to the small intestine, which facilitates absorption and reduces stomach irritation. In fact, there is no absolute enteric preparation yet. That is to say, the stomach more or less all a bit of irritation damage. 3, the time of taking: at present, it is believed that morning and evening can be, morning take fast-acting, can produce anticoagulant effect in the afternoon of the maximum number of platelets; evening take can help lower blood pressure. Theoretically taken before meals in the acidic environment of the stomach does not disintegrate, to the small intestine in the alkaline environment dissolved. Therefore, it should be taken before meals. 4, duration: generally take half an hour to take effect, lasting 2 to 10 days. In case of acute myocardial infarction or cerebral infarction, 300 mg can be chewed and swallowed for rapid onset of effect. If surgery, tooth extraction and other operations are required, it is recommended to stop using aspirin after 2 days, which can basically avoid bleeding side effects. 5.Blood pressure level: People with high blood pressure need to take antihypertensive drugs first to control blood pressure below 150/90mmHg, and then add aspirin gradually. 6, can not use aspirin situation: combined with renal insufficiency, gout, is taking prednisone or other anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, do not take. Those who have gastric ulcer, gastric bleeding, thrombocytopenia or body skin mucous membrane bleeding easily are also not suitable to use aspirin. Of course, if there is an aspirin allergy, it should not be used. 7.Alternative drugs: If there are both indications and the above-mentioned cases that cannot be used, alternative drugs to aspirin can be used: clopidogrel (Poliovel, Tega), leechin, cilostazol (Perda), ginkgo biloba preparation and other drugs. 8. Treatment observation: For elderly people over 65 years old and those who use it for the first time within 3 months, they should always pay attention to the side effects of stomach, especially those who have a history of gastric ulcer or Helicobacter pylori infection, smoke and drink alcohol or often take oral painkillers, or take more than 5 drugs at the same time, they should be more careful and closely observe the side effects to prevent gastrointestinal bleeding, and check the occult blood in the stool at the hospital every month. If necessary, add gastric mucosal protective agents or switch to other drugs.
