Lymph node metastasis can occur in esophageal cancer, but generally does not occur in early stage esophageal cancer.
Esophageal cancer is a malignant tumor originated from esophagus, and according to TNM staging, esophageal cancer can be classified into stage I, II, III and IV, and in early stage, i.e., stage I esophageal cancer, there will not be regional lymph node metastasis or distant metastasis, so early stage of esophageal cancer will not have lymph node metastasis.
If lymph node metastasis occurs in patients with esophageal cancer, it is considered that the disease is not in the early stage but in the middle or late stage. The patient will also have the symptom of progressively worsening dysphagia, and persistent pain with a heavier degree of pain.
Early esophageal cancer does not have lymph node metastasis. For patients in early stage of esophageal cancer, they should cooperate with doctors to standardize treatment in time to avoid delaying the disease. Otherwise, further development of the disease will reduce the cure rate and cause greater harm to the patient’s body. Everyday, patients should keep a good mood and reduce psychological pressure.
