How to treat lichen planus

Lichen planus can be improved or cured by oral and topical medications. Oral medication can be chosen as compound glycyrrhizin capsules. If accompanied by itching, oral antihistamines can be taken, such as levocetirizine hydrochloride capsules, olopatadine hydrochloride tablets, loratadine citrate tablets or loratadine capsules. Topical medications include hydrocortisone butyrate ointment, fluticasone propionate ointment, halometasone ointment, or dieldrin ointment. If the patient has oozing and vesicles, topical anti-inflammatory and anti-infective ointments such as fusidic acid ointment, ofloxacin gel, clindamycin phosphate gel, or mupirocin gel can also be used. In the case of facial rashes, topical calcium-modulated phosphatase inhibitors, such as 0.03% tacrolimus ointment, etc., may also be used.
