How long does it usually take for a wheal to ripen

Meibomian ripening is defined as suppuration and the formation of a pus spot, which usually forms 2 to 3 days after its occurrence. Whepharitis, or blepharitis, is an acute suppurative inflammation caused by infection of the eyelid glands by Staphylococcus aureus and other bacteria. Early on, it usually manifests itself as localized redness, swelling, heat, and pain, as well as a hard nodule with obvious pressure and pain. Yellowish-white pus spots can be formed 2~3 days after the onset of granuloma, which can be self-absorbed or break down and then subside and heal, and some of them need to be punctured or incised and drained to speed up the healing process. In some cases, the infection may spread to the eyelid cellulitis, sepsis, cavernous sinus thrombosis, etc. Some patients may not go through the stage of forming pus spots or abscesses. Patients are advised to seek timely medical attention and choose the appropriate treatment according to their condition to avoid aggravation of the condition.
