Cervical conization is not a major surgery in terms of gynecology, it is considered a minor surgery. There are two types of this procedure, Lipo knife excision and cold knife excision. Most of the laparotomies can be done on an outpatient basis, without anesthesia, and the operation time is relatively fast. In addition, there is another kind of surgery which is cold knife resection. Cold knife surgery is suitable for cervical precancerous lesions that are more serious and require anesthesia in the operating room.
