Why do some patients develop slowly and others develop particularly fast?

This is one of the main concerns of patients. Each patient’s condition is different, and an experienced specialist must firstly assess the prognosis of the condition on the basis of a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the condition. Nowadays, early diagnosis and early treatment are considered to be more effective, but because spinal cavernous disease sometimes develops extremely slowly, some patients remain unaware of it for years and often consider themselves “symptomatically stable” for a period of time, and not all patients with spinal cavernous disease progress to the point of muscle atrophy and disability. It is also difficult for doctors to have a full follow-up on this patient profile. In fact, according to our observation of a large number of cases over the years, most of the patients have their onset in their twenties and thirties, but the exacerbation stage is often in their forties or fifties. This suggests the importance of early scientific understanding of the correct treatment of the disease.
