One of the most common diseases of right lateral thigh pain is lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis. When the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve exits the pelvis, it tends to be pinched at the iliac wing. After the compression, the nerve innervating the lateral thigh will be paralyzed, causing right lateral thigh pain and numbness, which is called lateral femoral cutaneous neuritis. In addition, some patients have a herniated disc in the lumbar 2-3 or lumbar 3-4 region that compresses the femoral nerve, resulting in compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, which causes soreness and pain in the lateral thigh. An MRI or CT of the lumbar region is needed to see if there is a bulging, herniated, or prolapsed lumbar disc. If it is the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve compression, in the anterior superior iliac spine after 3-4cm of pressure will feel the stripes, press the patient with force the lateral thigh soreness aggravated, it can be clearly diagnosed.
