Is it appropriate to take Gui Spleen Pills for spleen deficiency?

If the diagnosis is deficiency of the heart and spleen (weakness of the heart and spleen), then the Spleen Restoring Pills can be taken, while other types of symptoms are not suitable for taking Spleen Restoring Pills. Heart and spleen deficiency is mostly caused by dietary irregularities, damage to the spleen and stomach, insufficient qi and blood biochemistry, and loss of blood nourishment for the heart; or prolonged illnesses and over-excessive thinking, which may injure the heart and spleen; or chronic blood loss, which may result in qi and blood depletion. Manifestations include palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia, sleeplessness, loss of appetite, abdominal distension and loose stools (thin and unformed feces), and yellowish complexion (yellowish color without luster). Gui Shen Wan has the effects of benefiting qi and tonifying blood (replenishing qi and blood in the body), strengthening the spleen and nourishing the heart (strengthening the spleen and stomach, tonifying and nourishing the heart and spirit), and is mainly used for treating deficiency of qi and blood in the heart and spleen and spleen not regulating blood (non-physiological hemorrhagic disorders). Adverse effects include occasional gastrointestinal discomfort and skin rash. It should not be taken by patients with fever and cold, and indigestible food should be avoided during the period of taking the medicine. If there is a need to use the medicine, it is recommended to use it under the guidance of a professional physician, not blindly self-medication.
