Puncture is needed for advanced stage of lung cancer. Lung cancer is divided into two types: small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer, and there is a big difference in the treatment modality in the late stage, so puncture biopsy is also needed in the late stage to determine the specific type in order to formulate a suitable treatment plan for the patient. If it is small-cell lung cancer, the first treatment plan is EP; if it is non-small-cell lung cancer, the DP and GP chemotherapy plan is the main one. At the same time, according to the mutation status, targeted drugs can be used to enhance the treatment efficiency and prolong the survival cycle of patients, so the puncture is still necessary. Unless the patient’s physical condition is poor, can not carry out radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatments, then there is no need for puncture.
