Half-moon syndrome is an imaging definition. Half-moon syndrome, also known as ulcerative inflammation of the lesser curvature of the stomach or ulcerative carcinoma. The shape of the niche is irregular, mostly in the shape of half-moon, with a flat outer edge, irregular margins, and multiple sharp corners. The niche is located within the gastric silhouette, surrounded by transparent bands of varying widths, i.e., ring embankment, with an irregular and sharp silhouette, in which nodular and finger-pressure traces of filling defects are common, which is referred to as the half-moon syndrome. Treatment of half-moon syndrome with metastatic cancer belongs to advanced stage and conservative treatment is the mainstay.
