Age of onset of dry syndrome

Dry syndrome occurs in young and middle-aged people, but it can also occur in some elderly people. The prominent symptoms in elderly patients are dry mouth and dry eyes; in young and middle-aged patients, the disease may be accompanied by multi-organ damage, such as autoimmune hepatitis and renal tubular acidosis. The main reason for the development of this disease is the damage of estrogen to the immune system of patients and emotional factors, and patients who are sentimental and easily depressed are more prone to dry syndrome.
