Increased adrenal cortisol, what to do about it

Adrenal cortisol increase, may be adrenal adenoma or adrenal hyperplasia, preferred surgical treatment.
Adrenal adenoma or hyperplasia can lead to cortisol increase and Cushing’s syndrome, which manifests as full moon face, centripetal obesity, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, etc. Surgery is generally preferred after the cause is clarified. Because cortisol inhibits ACTH secretion, normal adrenal tissue is in a state of atrophy and less secretion, and glucocorticoid replacement therapy is generally required during surgery and perioperative period.
The cause of increased adrenal cortisol may also be adrenal adenocarcinoma, which needs to be clarified and treated under the guidance of doctors.
