Is hemodialysis for uremia harmful?

Hemodialysis for uremia may be harmful to the human body, including allergic or allergic-like reaction, fever and pyrogenic reaction, cardiovascular complications and so on.
1. Allergic or anaphylactoid reaction: the occurrence of allergic reaction is mediated by IgE, and anaphylactoid reaction is mediated by non-immune mechanism, which is the direct release of mediators from host cells. Symptoms most often occur 5 minutes after the start of dialysis, or delayed up to 20 minutes, including burning sensation of the whole body or the site of vascular pathway, fever, dyspnea, angioedema and so on.
2. Fever and pyogenic reactions: local or systemic infections, or excessive microbial contamination of the dialysis device can lead to fever in dialysis.
3. Cardiovascular complications: including hypotension in dialysis, hypertension in dialysis, arrhythmia, and sudden death.
Uremic hemodialysis patients should be regular dialysis, under the guidance of dialysis center physicians, if discomfort occurs, inform the doctor in time.
