Dear myeloma patients, the Department of Hematology of Long March Hospital has launched two new tests since this year: 1. Serum free light chain test: It is suitable for the diagnosis and efficacy assessment of patients with low levels of monoclonal immunoglobulin or urinary light chain, myeloma patients with impaired renal function without urine, non-secretory myeloma and primary systemic amyloidosis. 4ml of blood will be drawn from the procoagulation tube, tested every Thursday and the report will be issued on Friday. 2.IgD quantitative test: It is applicable to the diagnosis and efficacy testing of IgD multiple myeloma. In addition to conventional M protein electrophoresis and fixed electrophoresis, IgD quantitative provides a new method of disease measurement. IgD quantification should be routinely performed in myeloma patients with low levels of immunoglobulins IgG, IgA, and IgM to rule out IgD-type myeloma. Blood is drawn from a procoagulant tube of 4 ml, tested every 2 weeks on Thursdays, and the report is issued on Fridays.
