Caution is needed for scarring and cosmetic surgery!

The pursuit of beauty has never changed throughout human history, it is one of the innate instincts of human beings. Modern advances in technology have led to the birth of the cosmetic surgery industry. This new industry has evolved from traditional surgery, and indeed through the use of artificial trimming and prosthetic materials, many beauty lovers have realized their dreams of pursuing beauty. The majority of consumers have met the need for beauty in their hearts. But cosmetic surgery is not for everyone, for people with scarring, do not go after this fashion trend. The so-called keloid refers to the formation of keloid scars in the wound healing area after their skin has suffered an injury. This keloid is initially light red and gradually protrudes beyond the surface of the skin and beyond the original damage, forming a hard, elastic patch. After a few months, the plaque becomes lighter in color, with a smooth, shiny, hairless surface, visible dilated capillaries, and itching, tingling, or burning pain. Such people, if they undergo cosmetic surgery, will form keloids of different sizes in the incisions after the surgery, and the result will only be a botched and anti-beauty. Such cases are not uncommon, our department has been treating keloid scars for decades, treating countless patients, and a large proportion of them have formed large keloid scars because of cosmetic surgery. Although our department has strong strengths in scar treatment, we are unable to make it fully consistent with normal skin color in the end. At present, the diagnosis of keloid can only be made based on the individual’s performance, but there is no real way to test whether a person is a keloid or not through any one laboratory index. Therefore, it is not possible to diagnose keloid before it develops. It is up to us to prevent the problem before it starts.
