How is the fast and slow syndrome treated? It mainly includes two parts: medication and cardiac pacing therapy. i. Medication, there is no satisfactory medication for sick sinus syndrome, and the current treatment measures are mainly to increase the ventricular rate and anticoagulation therapy. Among them, the drugs to increase the ventricular rate are atropine, theophylline and salbutamol. When atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, or atrial fibrillation occurs in the fast-slow syndrome, treatment is more problematic because of the fear that antiarrhythmic drugs will aggravate bradycardia. When tachyarrhythmias occur, digitalis and amiodarone may be used. The incidence of thromboembolism is higher in patients with fast-slow syndrome, so all patients with fast-slow syndrome need antithrombotic therapy with bicoumarins or aspirin. The installation of a permanent pacemaker is the most effective way to treat bradycardia in patients with sick sinus syndrome. After applying pacing therapy to patients with fast-slow syndrome, if the patient has an episode of tachycardia, anti-arrhythmic drugs can be applied boldly at the same time.
