Hemophagic syndrome and AIDS are not directly related and are two different diseases. However, AIDS patients may have a combination of hemophagocytic syndrome. Hemophagocytic syndrome, also known as hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, can be divided into primary and secondary. Primary is mainly due to genetic defects, while secondary can be caused by a variety of factors such as infections, tumors, autoimmune diseases, etc. It results in excessive immune activation, which may lead to fever, hepatosplenomegaly, coagulation disorders and other symptoms. AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease (STD), caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, which can result in immune deficiency, and infection is mainly caused through sexual contact, mother-to-child transmission, and blood transmission. During the AIDS stage, due to the severe impairment of the immune system, various diseases can be combined, including infections and tumors. Hemophagocytic syndrome and AIDS are not directly related, they are two different diseases, but AIDS patients may be combined with hemophagocytic syndrome.
