What’s with the 0.57 white blood cells?

Leukocyte 0.57 is a white blood cell count of 0.57 x 10^9/L, indicating that the body’s white blood cells are in a state of severe reduction. Leukopenia is usually associated with infections, aplastic anemia, systemic lupus erythematosus, malignant blood diseases and so on.
1. Infections: When patients have serious infections, it may lead to a serious reduction of white blood cell count, such as upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, viral infections and so on.
2. Aplastic anemia: it is a bone marrow hematopoietic failure disorder, which is mainly manifested as low hematopoietic function of bone marrow, reduction of total blood cells and anemia, bleeding, infection syndrome, and so on.
3. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE): it is a multifactorial autoimmune disease of unknown cause with multi-system and multi-organ damages, which can involve skin, joints, plasma membranes, heart, kidneys, nervous system, blood system and other organs and systems. When the blood system is involved, it often manifests as anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, enlarged lymph nodes or splenomegaly.
4. Malignant hematologic diseases: such as myelodysplastic syndromes, extreme leukopenia can occur.
Leukocytes 0.57×10^9/L alone cannot accurately determine the cause, but also need to be combined with the characteristics of the medical history, other test results to make an accurate judgment, it is recommended to clarify the cause of the disease under the guidance of a doctor.
