Is androgenetic alopecia a kidney deficiency

Androgenetic alopecia may be due to kidney deficiency, or it may be due to physiological factors such as irregular work and rest, and relevant tests can be performed to clarify the cause. Androgenetic alopecia is a manifestation of kidney deficiency in Chinese medicine theory, mainly due to kidney yin deficiency, resulting in abnormal secretion of androgens and subsequent hair loss, mostly seen in middle-aged men after 40 years old. In addition, factors such as excessive mental stress, poor sleep quality, late nights and insomnia can also lead to endocrine dysfunction, which in turn leads to androgenetic alopecia. Patients are advised to adjust their lifestyles, relieve fatigue and anxiety, and visit the endocrinology department of a regular hospital for appropriate treatment. If androgenetic alopecia is caused by kidney deficiency, Chinese medicine is recommended to be applied reasonably under the doctor’s diagnosis to treat the symptoms to ease the progress of hair loss, and some patients can be completely cured.
