What’s wrong with feeling like you can’t breathe?

The feeling of not being able to breathe can be caused by a variety of reasons, commonly associated with myocarditis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia and other diseases.

1. Myocarditis: caused by viruses, bacteria and other infections or drugs, poisons and other factors. Shortness of breath, dyspnea, chest tightness, chest pain, palpitations and other symptoms can occur during acute attacks of myocarditis. Complications need to be actively prevented.

2. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): a disease characterized by a persistent airflow limitation. It is often characterized by chronic cough, sputum, shortness of breath, dyspnea, wheezing and chest tightness as the disease progresses.

3. Pneumonia: Inflammation of the terminal airways, alveoli and interstitium of the lungs caused by a variety of factors. The main manifestations are fever, chills, cough, sputum, chest pain, dyspnea and so on.

There are many other reasons why you don’t feel like you can breathe. If your symptoms worsen or don’t get better, we recommend that you go to the hospital in time to get a clear picture of the cause of the disease and get the right treatment.
