Gallstones generally refer to cholelithiasis, and qigong treatment of cholelithiasis is unscientific and unreliable; qigong has no curative effect on the disease. Most of the claims that qigong treats gallstones come from some unscrupulous commercial advertisements or some unscrupulous organizations that commit fraud under the banner of traditional Chinese medicine. Cholelithiasis can be roughly divided into gallbladder stones and bile duct stones; the main treatment for gallbladder stones combined with cholecystitis is surgical removal of the gallbladder; the main treatment for bile duct stones is surgical removal of the stones, choledochotomy and bile duct drainage. There are no clinical cases of cholelithiasis treated with qigong. For patients who have been diagnosed with cholelithiasis, they should go to the relevant departments of regular hospitals and be treated under the guidance of professional physicians. Patients should not easily listen to rumors, so as not to delay the condition and cause adverse consequences.
