Laser treatment of pigmented lesions

1, laser treatment of pigmented lesions indications and non-indications: indications: nevus of Ota, nevus of Ito, freckles, age spots or sun spots, coffee spots, tattoos, eyebrow tattoo, eyeliner, lip tattoo, brown spots/mole, chloasma, inflammation or trauma-induced hyperpigmentation, etc.; non-indications: those who cannot tolerate surgery. 2, the principle of laser treatment of pigmented lesions: laser treatment of pigmented lesions is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis, that is, laser energy in a very short period of time (10ns) by the lesion in the pigment particles (melanin vesicles, tattoo ink) absorption, resulting in a very high temperature (300 ℃), so that it rapidly expands, forming a micro-burst, resulting in vaporization, crushed into very small particles, and then by the tissue Macrophages phagocytosis, clearance. 3, laser treatment of pigmented lesions only a slight pain: the treatment produces a feeling like a rubber band flicking the skin, generally without anesthesia. For sensitive areas (such as around the eyes), large areas and infants, local infiltration anesthesia, surface anesthesia or general anesthesia can be used as appropriate. 4, laser treatment of pigmented lesions will not cause irreversible damage to the body: the laser does not produce damage to normal human tissue or only slightly reversible damage, while irreversible damage to the lesion tissue, showing a high degree of selectivity, generally will not form a scar. The penetration depth of the laser is limited, generally only reaching the dermis, without causing damage to deeper tissues. As long as you avoid looking directly at the laser beam, there will be no impact on your vision. When treating around the eye, the doctor will take certain measures to ensure that nothing is lost. Lasers are not rays and do not cause radiation damage to the body. Even for sensitive skin, allergic reactions to the laser are rare. After laser eyeliner removal, you can still grow normal eyebrows and eyelashes. 5, the age of laser treatment: laser treatment is suitable for patients of any age. In general, the younger the age, the thinner the skin, the shallower the lesion, the stronger the repair and absorption capacity, the fewer the number of treatments, the better the treatment effect. Younger, often need to cooperate with general anesthesia, and does not affect intelligence, but will increase the risk and cost of treatment. 6.The number of laser treatment: Laser treatment of pigmented lesions often requires multiple treatments. Nevus of Ota, brown spots / moles, tattoos generally need about 5 times, coffee spots, eyebrow tattoo lines need 1 to 3 times, freckles, age spots can be mostly once. Each treatment interval is about 2 months. 7.The reaction and precautions after laser treatment.
After laser treatment, mild local redness and swelling, individual blisters will disappear within 2-3 days and scabs will be formed, which usually fall off within a week and the new skin will be slightly pink and recover in 1-6 months. The treated area should be protected from water for 3 days after surgery, and strenuous activities and make-up should not be applied before the scabs fall off, and the scabs should not be forcibly torn off. There are no special requirements on diet. After the scabs fall off, pay attention to sun protection and apply sunscreen. Some patients may develop hyperpigmentation, which will disappear on its own within a few months. Patients with keloid body may have overgrowth reaction of scar.
