The Spleen meridian runs from the foot to the abdomen and then to the chest.
The Foot Taiyin Spleen meridian starts from the end of the big toe of the foot and travels along the inner side of the big toe of the foot to the front of the inner ankle via the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint after the red and white meatus of the inner side of the big toe (where the palm of the hand meets the dorsum of the hand and the heart of the foot meets the dorsum of the foot). It travels on the midline of the medial side of the calf, and later reaches a position 8 inches above the medial ankle and travels on the anterior margin of the medial side of the calf.
It then travels upward along the medial border of the knee joint and the anterior border of the medial thigh, reaches the abdomen, contacts the stomach, passes upward through the diaphragm, clips the throat, connects to the root of the tongue, and disperses under the tongue. The branches of the Spleen meridian branch out from the Stomach, cross the diaphragm and enter the Heart.
The starting point of the Spleen meridian is the Yinbai point and the ending point is the Dabao point. It can treat spleen and stomach disorders, gynecological disorders as well as diseases of the anterior yin and meridian circulation areas.
For specific treatments and precautions, consult a medical professional for advice, and the acupuncture operation should be performed by a medical professional.
