Where is the liver and gallbladder located?

The liver and gallbladder are two different organs and are located in different places. 1. Location of the liver: The liver is mainly located in the right quarter rib area and the supra-abdominal area, with a small portion reaching the left quarter rib area. Most of it is covered by the rib arches, and only a small part of it is in direct contact with the anterior abdominal wall between the left and right rib arches in the supra-abdominal region. The lower border of the liver is in line with the anterior border of the liver, the right side is in line with the right costal arch, the middle part is 3 cm beyond the subxiphoid process, and the left side is covered by the costal arch. In adults, the liver is not palpable at the inferior border of the costal arch; in young children, the liver can be palpated at the inferior border of the right costal arch. 2. Position of the gallbladder: The base of the gallbladder is exposed to the anterior border of the liver, and the whole body is located in the subhepatic gallbladder fossa. Its projection point on the body surface is at the intersection of the right midclavicular line and the right costal arch, and when the gallbladder is diseased, there is often obvious pressure pain here. For patients with liver and gallbladder diseases or discomfort, they should go to the relevant departments of regular hospitals and be treated under the guidance of specialized physicians to avoid delays.
