Whether prostate cancer without metastasis patients less than 80 years old need surgery depends on the specific condition of the patients and their physical condition; if the patients are in good physical condition, surgery is also feasible, but the risk of surgery is higher for high-aged patients. Prostate cancer without proliferation may be in early stage or localized progressive stage, if it is in early stage of prostate cancer, and the patient does not have chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and other chronic diseases, and is in good physical condition, surgery is feasible; if it is in localized progressive stage of prostate cancer and is accompanied by chronic diseases, surgery is not recommended. However, domestic guidelines point out that surgical complications and mortality are significantly higher in patients >70 years old; in addition, radical surgical resection is not recommended for patients with a life expectancy of less than 10 years. If patients are unable to undergo surgical treatment, endocrine therapy and radiotherapy can be used, which can prolong patients’ survival and improve their quality of life. It is suggested that patients with prostate cancer without metastasis who are less than 80 years old should choose the appropriate treatment plan under the judgment of doctors and actively cooperate with doctors to avoid delaying their condition.
