Mifepristone is an anti-progesterone drug that acts on the level of progesterone receptors. Its contraceptive effect can be divided into two types of contraception: conventional contraception and emergency contraception, and conventional contraception has the following methods of administration: 1. Intermittent dosing method, including once a week, 25-50 mg/dose, and once a month, i.e., after ovulation each month, 200 mg/dose. 2. Continuous dosing method, oral administration of mifepristone 2-5 mg daily. 3. Mifepristone 2-5 mg. 3. Sequential dosing method, mifepristone 25 mg/day is given on days 1-14 of the menstrual cycle to inhibit or delay ovulation, and meprogesterone 5 mg/day is given on days 15-24. mifepristone can also be used for emergency contraception by taking mifepristone tablets within 72 hours after unprotected sex, either in divided doses or in a single dose. Split dose is 50mg of mifepristone taken orally, followed by 25mg 12 hours later for 2 days, while a single dose is 150mg of mifepristone taken orally.
