What are the symptoms of HPV infection

The symptoms that appear after HPV infection are related to the type of HPV. Flat warts, common warts and condyloma acuminatum may appear after low-risk HPV infection, while high-risk HPV infection may cause cervical epitheliomatous neoplasia and cervical cancer. 1. Low-risk HPV infection: usually associated with the occurrence of benign warts. When HPV infects the head, face and trunk, filiform warts, flat warts, common warts, etc.; when it infects the soles of the feet, metatarsal warts may appear; in the external genitalia and anus infection, it may appear as papillae, cauliflower pattern raised condyloma acuminatum. 2. High-risk HPV infection: High-risk HPV infection is usually asymptomatic in the early stages. Long-term chronic infection may cause precancerous cervical lesions or lead to cervical cancer, which may result in bloody leukorrhea, pain in the abdomen, abnormalities such as watery leukorrhea, and leukorrhea with a bad odor. Patients are advised to undergo regular medical checkups to rule out possible HPV infection, and may also receive early HPV vaccination to prevent HPV infection.
