Effects of Dingkundan

Ding Kun Dan is effective in regulating menstruation and soothing depression, nourishing qi and blood. The main ingredients of Ding Kun Dan include red ginseng, western saffron, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Colla Corii Asini, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Fructus Lycii, Radix Scutellariae Radix and so on, which have the efficacy of nourishing the qi and blood, regulating menstruation and relieving melancholy, and can be used for the symptoms of menstrual disorders, abdominal pain in menstruation and so on, which are caused by deficiency of qi and blood, and qi stagnation and blood stasis (because of blood stasis due to the lack of smooth qi). The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear. Patients who are allergic to Dingkundan and the ingredients in it are prohibited from using it, especially those who suffer from hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease and other serious chronic diseases need to take doctor’s advice. The use of Dingkundan must be carried out under the guidance of a professional physician to avoid unauthorized use leading to adverse consequences.
