Treatment for smelly feet

3. Drugs: (1) antiperspirant: it can play the role of antiperspirant, astringent and deodorant, which has a better therapeutic effect on patients with mild foot odor. Commonly used drugs are aluminum chloride, urotropin, etc., but patients with foot odor caused by athlete’s foot, can not be used to inhibit perspiration, which is likely to cause pain.

(2) A-type botulinum toxin: patients with more serious foot sweating can be injected locally with A-type botulinum toxin under the guidance of a doctor, which reduces the secretion of sweat by blocking the signaling of neurotransmitters to the sweat glands.
