Can I pursue pure herbal preparations that lower sugar?

Diabetes is a curable disease, but not curable. At present, many diabetic patients hope that a good medicine can cure diabetes, or they think that western medicine hypoglycemic drugs have damage to liver and kidney, and blindly pursue pure Chinese medicine preparations, thinking that pure Chinese medicine does not have any toxic side effects, which is extremely wrong. People ignore the common saying that “medicine is three parts poisonous”. Many businesses advertise that a hypoglycemic drug is a purely traditional Chinese medicine preparation under the banner of non-toxic side effects, and that it “can repair the islets, activate the islets and cure diabetes”, and deceive patients to make money. The most important thing is that any drug that enters the body has to be transformed and excreted by the liver and kidneys. Some Chinese medicines are extremely toxic, such as mucuna pruriens, which has caused kidney failure and even death in some people due to uremia. Therefore, it is not true that pure Chinese medicine is free of toxic side effects as some people claim. For patients whose liver and kidneys are already damaged, it is not suitable to take oral western medicine to lower sugar, and it is not advisable to use Chinese medicine to lower sugar. In terms of the effect of lowering sugar, Chinese medicine is far less effective than western medicine. High blood sugar is the culprit that causes damage to the organism of diabetic patients, and the current study of pure Chinese medicine to lower sugar is not as ideal as western medicine, and cannot cure diabetes. Many Chinese herbal hypoglycemic drugs have added western ingredients such as euglycemia in order to ensure the effect of lowering sugar. Patients who take such drugs without knowing the truth think that they are pure Chinese medicine preparations and think that they have a very good effect of lowering sugar. Western drugs are also not as toxic as patients think. Each drug has to go through strict pharmacology, toxicology, animal experiments, clinical studies and other stages before it is marketed and confirmed to be safe before it is approved for application. In patients with normal liver and kidney functions, no damage to liver and kidney functions will be caused by taking these drugs orally, while in those with liver and kidney insufficiency, oral hypoglycemic drugs should be discontinued and insulin should be used instead in order to avoid increasing the burden of liver and kidney metabolism and also to not cause accumulation of drugs in the body! Properly understand the role of Chinese medicine, play its advantages in the treatment of chronic complications of diabetes and make up for the shortcomings of Western medicine in the treatment of chronic complications. In addition, acupuncture and massage used well are effective in improving symptoms and also contribute to the improvement of complications. Chinese medicine is the treasure of China, but it should be applied correctly for the benefit of mankind.
