Are there any side effects of anastrozole tablets?

Anastrozole tablets have side effects, common side effects include skin flushing, vaginal dryness, hair oil overproduction, gastrointestinal disturbances (anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea), malaise, depression, headache, or rash.
Anastrozole tablets may occasionally cause uterine bleeding, mainly during the first few weeks of a patient’s change from existing hormone therapy to this product, and further evaluation is required if bleeding persists.
Anastrozole tablets are indicated for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women; for estrogen receptor-negative patients who show a positive clinical response to tamoxifen, the use of this product may be considered; for the adjuvant treatment of hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Caution is needed when taking anastrozole tablets, which include patients with known hypersensitivity to anastrozole and its formulation excipients; patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment; patients with severe renal impairment, as well as premenopausal women, lactating and pregnant women, should be contraindicated.
