Yiguan Decoction consists of Bei Sha Shen, Mai Dong, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Sheng Di Huang, Fructus Lycii and Neem, which is a proprietary Chinese medicine or soup preparation with the effect of nourishing Yin and clearing the lung, nourishing the kidney and softening the liver. It is mainly used for the treatment of clinical symptoms such as internal oblique burning pain, chest and abdominal fullness, dry throat, sour swallowing and bitterness, hernia and obstruction, red tongue without coating, fine pulse or deficient stringiness caused by deficiency of the lung to produce marrow, deficiency of the kidney to contain wood, and loss of the liver to drain and regulate the liver qi across the lung. In modern clinical practice, it is mainly used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, intercostal nerve pain, neurosis, hypertension, tuberculosis, menstrual disease, etc., with clinical symptoms of liver deficiency and liver stagnation.
