Long-term overuse of the wrist joint may lead to strain on the bones and tendons of the wrist joint causing osteoarthritis, tendonitis and tenosynovitis. It is recommended that when using input devices such as mice and keyboards for long periods of time, the wrist joint should be kept in a relaxed and comfortable position and that frequent breaks should be taken to relax the hands.
When possible, try to use ergonomically designed devices. If you experience unbearable pain symptoms, you should consult a hand and foot surgeon promptly and follow medical advice.
