What do you mean by sore wrists after doing push-ups?

There are two possible causes for this condition, one is the increased anaerobic metabolism of local muscles and other tissues during push-ups, where metabolic products such as lactic acid accumulate, so it can lead to a sore feeling, and the second is that high intensity or incorrect push-ups may lead to external damage, strain, inflammation and compression of bones, muscles, tendons and nerves around the wrist joint, leading to osteoarthritis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis and even fractures and dislocations that cause pain.
