Survival of cancer metastasis in the abdomen

There are more intestinal cancer and ovarian cancer with abdominal metastasis, which may survive for more than 3 years, 5 years or even longer with active treatment. Patients can apply radiotherapy, mainly local radiotherapy for abdominal metastases, and systemic chemotherapy to control the development of the disease. Some types of cancer can be treated with targeted drugs, which have fewer side effects and may be better for prolonging survival. If abdominal metastasis does not invade the intestine or other vital organs, it is possible to survive for a longer period of time. However, there is no way to estimate the specific survival time exactly, but we can only estimate roughly according to the different conditions of patients and the different characteristics of each cancer, and we can see it while treating.
