It is used for stomach and epigastric distension and pain caused by liver and stomach disharmony (the functional disharmony between the rising of the liver and the descending of the stomach and internal organs), fullness and stuffiness in the chest and ribs, vomiting and acid swallowing (swallowing the acid in the stomach that is upwardly charged in the oropharynx), and constipation with bloating and abdominal distension.
