Efficacy and Effectiveness of Ling Gan Wu Wei Jiang Xin Tang

Ling Gan Wu Wei Jiang Xin Tang is used to warm the lungs and dissolve drinks (promoting the flow of stagnant fluid by warming the lungs). It is used to treat cough with cold drinks. Cough with profuse sputum, thin and white in color, chest and diaphragm fullness (stomach distension and discomfort), white and smooth tongue coating, and slippery pulse. This formula is often used in treating cough with cold drinks.
Ling Gan Wu Wei Jiang Xin Tang is composed of Poria, licorice, dry ginger, fine Xin and Fructus Schisandrae chinensis. This formula is mostly due to the deficiency of spleen yang, cold arising from it, gathering dampness to form drink, and the cold drink violating the lungs, so the treatment is based on warming the lungs and resolving the drink.
If there is a lot of phlegm and want to vomit, add half-summer to warm cold phlegm and stop vomiting (to stop the upward flow of gastric qi and vomiting); if there is a cough with rapid wheezing, add apricot kernel and thick park to lower the qi and stop coughing; if there is a deficiency of spleen with little food, add ginseng, atractylodes, and chen pericarpi to benefit qi and strengthen the spleen.
This formula is contraindicated in cases of lung dryness with heat, consumptive cough with yin deficiency, and blood in sputum. The medication should be taken under the guidance of a professional physician, and should not be taken on its own, in order to avoid delaying the condition.
