Breast Cancer Screening

Patients with breast lumps or overflow, or changes in the skin of the breast, abnormal nipple areola, enlarged axillary lymph nodes, or any other signs and symptoms, should go to a regular breast specialist as soon as possible. The doctor at the breast specialist hospital will first perform a physical examination of the breast, that is, palpation, combined with mammography and ultrasound examination of the breast for diagnosis. If there are symptoms of nipple discharge, a lactoscopy should also be performed. If necessary, a preliminary diagnosis should be made in conjunction with an MRI of the breast. The final diagnosis should be based on histopathological examination, hollow-core needle aspiration or biopsy of the lump, because pathological diagnosis is the gold standard for breast cancer diagnosis. After the pathological diagnosis is made, comprehensive treatment can be performed.
