How to treat hemangioma in baby’s eyes

Hemangioma of the baby’s eye is usually referred to as eyelid capillary hemangioma, which is caused by congenital developmental abnormalities and usually manifests as a red or blue lump in the eyelid location. It is generally recommended that this disease does not require premature treatment in its early stages. This disease has a tendency to return to normal on its own, and it is recommended that it can be observed for a period of time, and if the child does not improve by the time he or she is 4-5 years old, then consider starting treatment. If the tumor causes eyelid ptosis and obscures the pupil, early treatment is needed to avoid the formation of amblyopia. There are three main methods of treatment. The preferred treatment is to inject glucocorticoids into the hemangioma, currently the most commonly used is tretinoin injection. If this method is not effective, then consider treatment by freezing or partial surgical excision.
